What is the Chicagoland Asia Business Exchange?

The purpose of the Chicagoland Asia Business Exchange is to provide local peer networking opportunities for exchanging lessons learned and best practices.

What are the objectives of the Chicagoland Asia Business Exchange?

To increase awareness of progressive business solutions, share best practices, and facilitate greater collaboration among executives by identifying areas of mutual interest.

What are the centralized resources provided by the Executive Learning Exchange?

The Executive Learning Exchange provides centralized logistics for local thought leaders to share their management initiatives with peers (i.e., coordinates event registration, keeps up a database of email addresses for sending out announcements, and maintains an online repository of case studies contributed by local thought leaders).

What is the current set of objectives for the next year?

The objectives for the next year are: • Explore coordinating three Chicagoland Asia Business Exchange events annually. • Facilitate a charitable trip to Southeast Asia and sponsor a literacy project. • Provide online archives of Chicagoland Thought Leaders case study’s to share with peers.

What are the proposed code of conduct and basic operating principles for members?

Success will be achieved through highly participatory business leaders sharing lessons learned and hosting peer networking events. Participants are encouraged to proactively seek out and create peer networking opportunities, promote corporate goodwill by hosting events, and provide company discounts to other members. Individual learning leaders are welcomed to join and participate, and to champion enterprise memberships for their organizations.

What online resources are available?

There are two general online areas available for this community:
  • Public-Area which includes a calendar of upcoming events, FAQs, and insight from a revolving pool of Chicagoland thought leaders.
  • Member-Area which includes case studies (either slides or multi-media archives) from past events we helped produce.

What Levels of Memberships are available?

  • Individual Member: the annual membership fee is $1,250 with access to benefits defined below.
  • Founding Member I: only $2,500 for the initial ten organizations which is 50% off the standard enterprise annual membership fee for the first year with access benefits defined below.
  • Founding Member II: only $3,750 for the initial twenty companies will which is 25% off the standard enterprise membership annual fee for the first year with access benefits defined below.
  • Enterprise Member: the annual membership fee is $5,000.

What are the benefits for my company joining the Chicagoland Asia Business Exchange?

  • Priority participation in on-going events ($100 savings per person per event).
  • Unlimited access to web-based resources, archived presentations, etc.
  • Registrations to Chicagoland Asia Business Exchange events included with membership fees
    • Individual memberships include one registration for the individual member to each Exchange event offered throughout the year (over $1,500 value)
    • Founding Enterprise & Enterprise memberships include four individual registrations to day-long exchanges (over $3,000 value), 40%-plus discounts for additional registrations (at least $350 savings per registration).

What is the refund policy?

Requests for refunds can be sent to Dirk.Tussing@learningexecutive.com with refunds for annual fees pro-rated as a percentage of the remaining months left in the year.

Cancellations for events must be received at least five business days before the event to receive a refund.

After we receive your refund request in writing and any published material (i.e., books not signed by authors or other publications bundled with presentations) in original condition, we will process a full refund within ten business days. Partial refunds will be made if all of the material is not returned in original condition.

If you cancel your registration for an event with at least five business days notice to us and request a refund, a $150 processing fee will be charged to cover committed expenses.
